Premiership Soccer round up - Week 3

Another cracking weekend of premiership football is over and to celebrate the end of Round 3 we have our new weekly feature - The weekend round down!

Goal of the round
Ben Arfa vs Aston Villa - sealed a point for the magpies! Right foot into the bracket!

Winners

Robin Van Persie - 4 goals in 2 starts! Picking up where he left off last year!

Man City - Not playing like champions but still churning out the results! Copy and paste any quote from the past 10 years that this is a 'trait of champions'

West Brom & Swansea - 30 more points and they are safe! But in seriousness they are both attractive to watch and everyone likes to see a fresh face in the top 7!

Steven Fletcher - 2 goals on your debut always helps to calm the nerves!

Arsenal - Before Sunday the papers were already starting the 'worst start since......last season' headlines. It's amazing how one match can change that with Arsenal now looking 'a real contender'.

Abou Diaby - An excellent 90 minutes on Sunday, another 35 of those this year and he could join Hleb, Flamini, Adebayor, RVP and Nasri in the 'I had one good year at Arsenal and then i left' club.

West Ham - Andy Carroll makes an immediate impact for the hammers. Liverpool might be back on the phone to the pony tailed front man sooner than West Ham would like.

Raheem Sterling - With Liverpool's lack of funds, the loaning of Andy Carroll to West Ham and not much competition could make this a break through season for Sterling.

Losers

Liverpool - Like shooting fish in a barrel. Going to be a shakey start to the season for Rodgers and the team. After no movement on transfer deadline day Liverpool fans must be regretting giving King Kenny a big pot of gold and poor Rodgers getting a coupon for K-Mart.

Spurs - All managers need time to settle but from the spurs fans I have spoken to they dont see AVB as much of an improvement on the wheeling and dealing Harry Redknapp.

Saints - You have to feel sorry for the saints in their first 4 matches they play last seasons top 3. Against the two teams from Manchester they have led coming into the 70th minute. However they need to start getting points on the board!

Reina - When it Reina(s), it pours (its the best we could steal from twitter)
